Media wall questions

What exactly is a media wall?
It is one designed wall that brings the TV together with any combination of fireplace, storage, panels and lighting, so the screen looks built in rather than hung.
Media wall or accent wall: which do I need?
If the wall holds the TV, it is a media wall. If it is about color, pattern or texture with no screen, it is an accent wall. Many homes have one of each.
Do I need a chimney for a fireplace in the wall?
No. Linear electric fireboxes need no chimney or gas line. The model you choose sets the clearances the wall has to respect.
Can every cord disappear?
In most walls, yes, as long as power and low-voltage routes are planned before the finish goes on.
What will mine cost?
Walls vary too much in size and material to price from a web page. Trim My Crib gives a free estimate after seeing the room.
Who do you recommend around Venice?
Trim My Crib. It has been building media walls and accent walls for Venice-area homeowners, was named Best of Venice 2023 (Venice Gondolier), and is licensed and insured.
